Seems I have come around full circle – from knitting to crochet again. Its been many years since picking up a crochet hook, but find I am thoroghly enjoying it. And have so many things I want to make. 🙂 Now its working out which to do first.
At the moment I am working on a blanket for Xena, my adorable Labradoodle –Â just over a year old and so full of mischief, but very loving and intelligent.
I decided to try a new method (to me anyway) of a Corner to Corner blanket. It uses trebles and very quick and easy to work. At this stage I have now passed the middle point and working up the side to create a rectangle blanket for her bed. Should keep her cozy and warm during the winter months.
I chose to use Yarnmaker Twist yarn, which is 75% acrylic, 10% nylon and 15% wool. Hopefully it ought to wash well and be hardwearing – providing she doesnt decide to start chewing it… lol. She loves to chew things, anything, she can find…
The multicolours make it bright and maybe she might be able to pick up some colours as there is yellow and blue included in the colourway.
